YGN Introduction to Criticality and Shielding

This one day seminar, organised by the Nuclear Institute (ENS Member Society) North West Branch and the Nuclear Institute Young Generation Network, will provide delegates with an insight and basic understanding of what Criticality and Shielding are, and how they play a role in the nuclear industry and nuclear safety.

The event will take place on 30th March 2023, at Birchwood Park (UK).

The event will give attendees an insight into a career in Criticality and Shieling and the different applications across the industry for which it is applicable. It will also give attendees an opportunity for personal development/learning and networking.

Who is the event for: The event is aimed at delegates from all backgrounds and career levels within the nuclear industry, including but not limited to; early career level (graduates, apprentices, PhDs, students) to experienced nuclear professionals, professionals moving roles or looking to specialise in a new topic. We typically have a mix of experienced nuclear professionals, graduates and apprentices in attendance.
